Yesterday was Mothers Day, but we started our festivities a little early. Saturday morning we got up and went to Ihop for breakfast in Ft. Union, hoping to avoid crowds, which we did. Then we went to their bigger Target and wasted some time because Josh wasn't sure if our next stop would be open yet. (It was only about 9:00.) One good thing, I was able to find some wall clings over there that match the toddler bedding set I want to get Joey, so when I get to decorate her room someday we have more options than I originally thought. Score one for me.
Then we went to Babies'r'us to pick out my gift. I've been wanting a new diaper bag because our cheap $10 Walmart one was on its last leg. So Josh let me pick out a fancy one. I was so excited, it could even be pink and he'd hold his tongue. ;) I found one that was very smartly designed, and a little bit smaller than I intended, and a bit more expensive. But it seemed very well put together, so as Josh pointed out, if it lasted through more than one child it'd be a worthwhile investment. Because the main thing we have to carry around is toys, sippy cups, and ocassionally jammies if we're going to be gone somewhere past bedtime, I figured since it was so well organized we could get away with it being slightly smaller. It even has stroller straps to attach it to your stroller instead of trying to squeeze the handle over it. The best part is it has a "Mom section" as I like to call it, in the front. Cell phone pocket, ipod pocket, and wallet organizer. That's right folks. One bag. I was sold. Sorry for my cheesy pose, but this is it.

Sunday Josh continued to be Prince Charming and we had a great day. Once again we ended up leaving church after Sacrament Meeting so Joey could nap, which she didn't, but we were able to get a few chores done to brighten my Mom's day, and cheer up Kaela who stayed home because she wasn't feeling well.
At dinner of course there was a jello salad, and of course Joey turned out pink again. Its like Sunday tradition now, I swear. Then we went for a walk and played outside for a bit. It was lovely. Happy Late Mothers Day. I hope all the rest of you mommies enjoyed yours as much as I did.
