No, I'm not talking about Kearns High. Some of you may or may not have heard about the cougar running through neighborhoods in West Jordan today. Well, my parents neighborhood was one of them, and to top that, they caught it in the street in front of Lori's house. Lori is our Monday, Tuesday, Friday babysitter. I had heard about the cougar through text, and then looking at Ksl's website recognized one of the houses as her across the street neighbor. Scary!Well, about 600 phone calls were made warning residents, only they didn't get that far. Down on the corner of Lori's street (probably about 6 or 7 houses) was the closest to her that got a phone call. Her kids were outside in the backyard 10 minutes before they caught the thing and she had no idea! As you can imagine it was one of those days where you hug your kids a little longer and tighter at night thankful they are ok. I don't have any pictures yet, but Lori said she'd try to remember to e-mail me some of Joey hanging out by the media circus while cameras weren't rolling. :) You may or may not have caught Lori on channels 5 and 2 tonight on the news.

Picture #4 is the one I saw and my heart stopped while I was at work. I haven't watched the videos, but Lori said her daughter had a little clip in one of them. She's 5 and was loving hanging out with the cougar while it was out and chatting up all the media folks.
Here's to hoping Wednesday is a little more mellow!
