15 Months

Tristan and Nick turned 15 months old yesterday, I can't believe it! They're doing things on their own time, but have they ever done otherwise? ;)

Tristan recently cut a couple more bottom teeth, and loves to play shy, it's so cute! He also loves getting into the drawers, hand towels and recycle box in the kitchen. He seems to favor blocks and random objects as toys. He mostly has different inflections of whines to communicate, the funniest and most common is kind of a high-pitched "hmm?" and he also likes "mamamamama." He finally has decided crawling on his hands and knees is ok sometimes. Walking with furniture is a favorite.

Nickolas is my little hammy genius. He's been so smiley lately, and lives to laugh. He enjoys joining his brother in kitchen adventures, and seems to favor cars (sometimes making the noises) and Joey's laptop as toys. He says a few words, his most frequent and my favorite is "yeah" but the way he says it sounds more like "yi-uh." hilarious! His other most common words are "gone gone" and "dada." he crawls on all 4s almost always now. He is also walking with furniture whenever possible.

They are both getting a little better around strangers (aka any adult that's not Mom or Dad), I think nursery may be helping with that. I've been working with them on walking, they can do one-handed assisting better now. Any time I try to get them to stand for balance they think it's a game and dive. We'll get there. This week I've been trying to teach them to blow kisses. Nick is really good at mimicking the noise, but has no interest in the hand gesture. Randomly Jess caught Tristan whacking himself in the face one day when I was trying to get Nick to make the kissy noises... I think he was trying to do the hand motion. What a team! :)

And a picture to finish us off! Nick was playing with the Wii Mario Kart steering wheel and Tristan was trying to dive into Josh. Goofs!

Ahh!!! They're growing up so fast! I miss those boys! When I'm home over Thanksgiving we need to have a play day before I have to head back to Provo!
