18 months

I cannot believe my baby is a year and a half! Yesterday she went to Nursery for the first time, and she loved it! She was in an excellent mood after church, her teacher said she did great, and she didn't even notice when we left because she was so excited about the big room to run around in and all the new (to her) toys. My favorite part was when her teacher told us she's about an inch too short for the chairs, so when all the other kids jumped off and ran off, they heard a little "eh, eh" from behind them, my child stuck on the chair. And with good reason, she's still small for her age. We got back from the doctor just a little bit ago. Here are her stats.

Height: 30 1/2" - 20%
Weight: 18 lbs 14 oz - <5%
Head: 20%

Little Miss Picky Eater needs a slight change in diet. Less juice, more milk, water, fruits, veggies, and CALORIES. Peanut butter on bread or crackers, no lowfat/nonfat stuff, etc.

She's behind on her speech as well. She doesn't say as many words as she should, so we basically need to overtalk everything, and really try to get her to communicate with words what she wants. If she's not where she needs to be at 2 years we may need to look into speech therapy, but the fact that she understands things well is a good sign. Here's hoping she starts talking soon. Maybe her nursery friends can help her. :)

I was going to say that just being around other kids at nursery, etc. might make a difference. Joshua talked a lot earlier than Nichole- he had her as an example. He likes to copy everything she does, and that includes talking like her and saying the things she does.
