A Fun Weekend

This weekend was alot of fun. We started things off by getting Joey a big-girl booster seat. Her high chair was back against a wall, and the blinds behind her were becoming an ever-increasing distraction from her much needed fattening food. I thought she would still be just a little too short to reach the table and need the tray, but I was wrong. Look at my big girl.
Friday morning we (me, Joey, and Aunt Kaela (Kae, as Joey calls her)) took Josh downtown to run the Deseret News 5k Fun Walk/Run. Well, he ran, and did a great job! He did it in like 24 minutes, which is much better than the 28 he was getting while practicing. I'm so proud of him, this was his first race in quite a while, and when his Acid Reflux started bothering him the last couple of weeks he wasn't able to go out running. The rest of the day we just stuck around home and had a relaxing day.

Saturday morning Kaela and I started out Girl's Day Out by going to get our hair cut together. We went to a Sister in our Ward, and she did an excellent job! Plus we didn't have to make small talk, we chatted and she took her time and it was awesome.
Saturday afternoon the girls (Me, Mom, Kaela, and Annie) headed out for a much needed Girl's Day Out. We started out the celebration by going to see "Singin' In the Rain" at Hale Center Theatre in Orem. They did an excellent job, and it was very entertaining. They even had sprinklers come down from the ceiling for the "Singin' In the Rain" part, and it was obvious he knew which parts of the floor made the best puddles! The people on the front row were given ponchos, but he used his umbrella well to flick rain on all of us. One little girl (in a poncho on the front row) even got an umbrella-full of water in her lap, which she seemed to think was pretty cool. Since its such a small, intimate setting, they used the aisles as part of the stage at times, and when they are "filming" a scene for a movie I had the director set up in the aisle next to me yelling "Action!" in a mega phone in my ear, but it was cool to feel like you were part of the story. :)

Then we went out to dinner and my favorite part of the evening was Annie leaving a balloon she found in her purse as part of the tip. She took a picture to remember, but unfortunately I forgot my camera. We rounded the evening off with a little bit of shopping, then returned home to save the husbands from the children.

But Josh didn't need saving. He took Joey over to Granny's, and it sounds like they had a lot of fun there. All I know for sure is the picture he texted me of her head, asking if I could see the dirt in her hair. Yay sandboxes!!

Sunday we had a small celebration for Jaxson's 2nd birthday. I can't believe it! That means Tattoo and Joey are coming up as well! They grow up WAY too fast!A room full of toddlers and new toys. Life doesn't get much better than this. :)
I didn't pictures of him enjoying the cake, but he sure did!
