Independence Weekend

For the 4th of July since our extended family already had other plans, Josh and I decided to celebrate in a not-so-typical way. Late Saturday morning we went up to the Park City outlet mall and did some shopping. Our best bargain were a couple pairs of much-needed jammies for Joey. Then we just spent a quiet evening at home (my parents had gone up to Wyoming to spend the weekend with my brother and his family, more on that later).
I think because we've had such a wet summer people figured there wasn't as much of a fire hazard with fireworks, because there were TONS of illegal ones around here. Joey woke up a few times freaked out before we went to bed, but then slept fine after that. There were steady fireworks until about 11, and I stopped noticing them altogether around 11:30.
Sunday morning we got up and got ready to drive to Wyoming to see my brother bless his new baby, Mason. He was totally out at the start of church, so as I called it when they got up there he cried. Luckily it was soft enough we were still able to hear the beautiful blessing. (The 3rd one in that ward that day.) Then we went back to their place for a nice bbq in their backyard with lots of friends and family. It was really nice. If I remember I'll post pictures later. :)
