Starting the Year Off with a Bang!

2012 has felt like a whirlwind already. He's a few things we've had going on.

*Josh interviewed for a new position at work. That didn't work out so he then applied and interviewed with another company. Right now we're trying to win our way at Arcom and create a new position for him so he can stay with them but get away from taking Tech Support calls. You can only handle that kind of stuff for so long, and we feel like its old news. :)

*We made the decision to do lots of home improvements with our tax return this year. I'm interested to see what this place looks like in a year. The one I'm most excited (and nervous, to be honest) about in the near future is tiling the kitchen and hopefully bathrooms and entries. I'm not sure how we'll fit an entire dining room and kitchen full of stuff in my living room and keep 4 kids out of it.

*NO THAT WASN'T A PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENT!! But, I am going to be doing daycare for a dear friend of mine. I'm excited to play with the little guy and to contribute a little bit to our family's finances. I should find out more info about the situation soon.

*Tristan's pinky got stepped on in Nursery last Sunday. It was pretty badly skinned, so I left the bandaid on for a couple of days. When I took it off it was a bit tricky, a full-size bandaid doesn't belong on a baby pinky! I'm afraid it took at least most of the nail with it. It has scabbed over now, even though it wasn't bleeding anyways. Time will tell whether the nail bed was affected and if it will grow back or not. As Josh pointed out, if it doesn't that will be the best way to tell them apart if they still look so similar when they're older. :)

*Last, but certainly not least Joey's 4 year well child appointment is turning out to be quite the doosy! You may remember I mentioned she had to go back because she had a little infection. Well, we went back Wednesday and the doctor explained to me with a UTI E-Coli usually grows in the hundreds of thousands, and Joey's was like 15k, so it was just a precautionary thing. If it becomes a recurring thing they may need to check her kidneys but doesn't think that's the case. She had antibiotics for 10 days and was re-tested. Well guess what? Just a while ago I got a call back from them that it's gotten worse. Seriously?! So now she's going to have a round of different antibiotics and we go back in another 2 weeks. We may need to discuss other things at that time. Sheesh. Joey and I had a talk about wiping properly after going potty, and I'm really going to push drinking water and pottying more during the day.

I think a vacation is in order! ;)
