Its been quite awhile since I took the pictures off the camera, so I decided to do that today, and thought I'd share some.

Fountain at the Gateway

Isn't she cute? This was the first time I pulled ALL her hair back for pigtails. She's getting so grown up.

Joey often likes to squat down when you try to take a picture of her. That or try to get the camera for herself.
The following are pictures of the only house we have been/are under contract for, though we've made offers on a few more. Even though it has some major issues that need addressing (roof, water heater, furnace) we still feel strongly this is where we need to be. These pictures were taken a week ago during the inspection when we found out about all the above "fun stuff".

Living room w/fireplace

Kitchen-Don't worry, we plan to paint the cabinets (I HATE white cabinets!) and get new appliances (actually, that scary stove is the only one that is there). No hook-up for the dishwasher, we may do that and get new countertops with the tax credit from the gov't.

Me measuring the window in the Master Bedroom for blinds. Notice the double closets. Nothing like the huge walk-in at our last apartment, but better than what we've got now. :)

Upstairs bathroom- We plan to rip off the shower doors so its easier to bathe Joey and replace the flooring (if you look close you can see it coming up around the toilet). We aren't sure if some of the subfloor will need to replaced or not.

View of the backyard (fruit trees) from the deck. On the left is the back fence, and there are no neighbors there, it is a field (you can see it from 5600 W).
As you can see, even though we are really struggling with the sellers to get the big necessary things fixed, and we've seen other houses in better shape, this still feels right to us, and we still consider it ours. Lets hope the sellers give in a bit. If not, that will be 2 failed sales on this home. Wake up sellers!! You need to do something if you want to sell this home-drop the price or suck up and do some work!! :)

A house of your own...it will be so nice even if it does require work. Then you can just put your own touches on it! I hope it works out for you!
Oooh! I like it! I still have my fingers crossed.
Love, Mom
