Check out that awesome Cinderella cell phone Joey's rocking. She got to pick it out at the store Monday night because Thursday as she was finishing her bath and waiting for the water to drain I think she farted or something. She looked down and said, "Oh no! I'm pooping!" So I asked her if she needed to go potty and she said yes. So I sat her on the potty, left for a minute, and when I came back her little potty was singing her praises. It earned her the last sticker she needed to fill her potty chart we've SLOWLY been working on since way back when we were having a potty power struggle.
Friday we left to go camping with my family, and all weekend when Annie would say, "Who needs to go potty?" and a few of her kids would volunteer so would Joey. So we had to remind her she was in diapers and doesn't go on the big potty. (Those toilets were cold and crazy loud when they flushed. If we started her there I think it may have scarred her for life!) Sunday afternoon when we got back I thought we'd give it a shot. I was toying with the idea of hard core, panties, accidents, etc. starting Monday. She went! And she kept telling us all afternoon when she needed to go and continued to do so! I finally decided in the early evening to tell her she was done with diapers forever and put her in a pull-up.
Monday morning I didn't get her to the potty very early, trying to get back into our normal routine, so I'm not sure if she wet in the night or in the morning, but she went potty late morning, we stuck her in panties, and she's been a pro since! Not a single accident, and waking up dry every day! We're still putting her in pull-ups when we leave the house and for bed, and have yet to be out of the house when she needs to go. So I know we're not completely out of the woods, but I am so proud of her amazing progress and decision to be a big girl!
