No greater motivation than a 2 year old

Lately so many things are motivating me, and they all seem to come back to Joey.

Like last night. We were outside for a minute for cubscouts, and they went back inside. Joey and I were going to go to the backyard, but she didn't understand that, so when I called her to come with me she ran away from me and biffed it on the driveway. Motivation to ignore my belly and run after my child. She basically skinned the right side of her face. This is what it looked like this morning.
Then there's watching what I say. She picks up on everything! Not that I use bad language by any means, but a couple weeks ago I was struggling, so I said, "Oh my gosh" to myself a couple times. Since then one of her favorite phrases is, "Oh gosh!" She says it so cute, seriously, in awe, you name it...its hilarious. And I'm constantly hearing her say things her dad does, with the exact same inflection, usually her timing makes it quite comical.
And finally there's our adventure this afternoon. I was in the kitchen shredding a roast (bbq pulled pork sandwiches, yum!), so I was in there for awhile. I was almost finished when Joey dragged her hamper into the kitchen and started unloading it on the floor. So I cleaned it up, took it back to her room, and found THIS!
So I put all the blankets away, and there was still THIS!
She unloaded her entire dresser!

I've been meaning to go through her drawers to box up what is too small, I've just lacked the motivation since I've been feeling well enough. Joey decided to be my motivator. So that was my afternoon project.

*sighs* Just reading that makes me tired. I guess that's why I'm the granny and you're the mommy. Hang in there!

I can totally relate to all of that. Oh the adventures you have and will continue to have.
