We Start 'Em Young!

Last Saturday Josh ran in the Salt Lake City 5k, and is planning to do the Deseret News 10k on the 24th of July. Joey and I went to support him, but she got a little bored sitting in the stroller waiting for him to return from the race, and I ended up chasing her around part of the Gateway. I decided even if I'm not on bedrest and able to make it to the race in July, that WILL NOT be an option! We've kicked around the idea of a jogging stroller several times, but didn't want to spend the money unless we were certain we'd get good use out of it. Well, Joey loves it when Josh runs with her in the stroller and shopping cart, so we decided to finally get one so he would have time to get used to it and Joey will get to run the race with him in July.

Yesterday morning they took it out for a test run, and Josh says its very different from running without it, but I think they'll enjoy it, and it'll be good for him to build up some upper body strength for hauling around 2 babies here in a few months. ;)

Anyways, you've got the background story...now here's Joey helping Daddy warm up before their run yesterday morning. If she keeps this up she might be a runner someday, just like Daddy! It was so funny to watch her!

Hahaha that is freakin hilarious!!! She's gonna be a pro at warming up in a few months, I can tell.

My friend says it's easier if you jog and push the stroller with your tummy. Of course her's is a double and she has a center handle so I don't know if that would work for Josh. Good luck!

That is so awesome that Joey gets to "run" with Josh in the race. It's a good thing they're starting now to train together. Love the pictures.
