Tithing

Wednesday as I was doing bills I discovered we were in trouble. Completely out of money, and 2 weeks out from another payday. We have a pretty good stock of diapers and formula, but if it was enough it'd definitely be cutting it close. Our savings still look a bit pathetic after the washer/dryer purchase, and we still have money on the credit card from Christmas and the washer/dryer purchase, not to mention Josh isn't done with his Christmas shopping. I quickly looked over the utilities I'd just written checks out for, seeing if any could wait until next payday to be mailed out. Only one, the smallest. We were going to have to live off the credit card for 2 weeks.

Being the human I am, I was quite frustrated as we had just gone Tuesday night to declare ourselves full tithe payers, and were planning to contribute to the ward Christmas fund for those in need. I accepted our fate and knew we'd catch up eventually.

Today in the mail I received a refund check from the hospital....just enough to live off of for the next 2 weeks. I almost cried. Once again, my testimony of tithing has been re-affirmed.
