Granny Coffey lent us a kid-friendly Nativity in hopes to keep Joey from playing with the ornaments on the tree. I originally thought it would be needed for keeping her from tearing into the presents. A couple of days in a row I found Baby Jesus tucked under her covers in her bed when I went to put her down for a nap.

One Saturday morning Josh was faking sleeping and Joey tried endlessly screaming at him to wake up. When it didn't work she yelled, "COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!" It was hilarious!

Joey has inherited two of our worst traits: My tendency to run into things, and Josh's lack of balance. These combined have resulted in several black eyes.

Josh and I got a date night! We went with Sam and Jess to dinner at the little Chinese place in the food court downtown (pretty good, and cheap!) and then we got to go to the MoTab Christmas concert. The special guests were David Archuleta and Michael York. It was a great program. Then we went to the Gateway to get Hot Cocoa from Starbucks and did a little people watching before returning home.

As I said before, Nick and I made several trips out to Jordan Valley for Physical Therapy before our benefits reset at the beginning of the year. He has Torticollis, which is a tight muscle in his neck, resulting in a flat spot in his head. The gal we've been working with could already see an improvement in less than 2 weeks, so we're optimistic that we may only need to see her once or twice more.

This last week we enjoyed having Josh home. We didn't get to do as much goofing off as we'd hoped, but we did a deep cleaning on the house, which was definitely needed, especially the kids' room, which the mess just usually gets ignored because its toys that get played with and clothes that get worn, washed, but never folded. But we did some shuffling, and Joey is now in a twin bed, and the twins are sleeping in the crib. We like the set-up of the room better, and its not as cramped as we thought it might be. Its only been a couple of nights, and they haven't woke Joey up yet, but for fear of it we've been having to take the twins out to rock them back to sleep (binkies aren't as cool as they used to be, fingers taste better). And in the early morning before bottles are ready we've actually either slept with them in the bed, on the couch, or they've ended up in the bassinet in our room. But I know it will be a gradual process and get better.

I have a few crochet snowflake ornaments my mom shared with me, they were always on Grandma's tree and ours growing up, and something I just can't live without. But now that we have a bigger, fuller tree than when we were first married there just doesn't seem to be enough of them. I tried a couple years ago to make them and failed miserably. But this past year I was so bummed they were so sparse I was determined to finish other projects I'd started so I could try again. I've done 2! I think I've gained more experience reading patterns for other projects and was just more patient with those darn picots that I was able to do it. My goal is to make several throughout the year, and not just white to add some more color to our tree. Wish me luck!

Sorry about the lack of pictures, I'll try to be better next time!
